Become one of the first stars on the video web! TouchCast is a new medium that looks like video, but feels like the web. Create a TouchCast pilot in one of the five categories below for the chance to get the green light for a whole series.

A search for the best TouchCast creators. To help us discover the best TouchCast creators, we've partnered with the International Academy of Web Television (IAWTV) and BigScreen LittleScreen, and assembled an all-star panel of judges who will decide which entrants receive one of six development deals to create original TouchCast series.


Vlogger Rant - Jenni Powell (Geek & Sundry)
Jenni Powell started her online media journey by diving headfirst into the lonelygirl15 community, ending up working on the ground breaking program. She is currently a producer for YouTube premium channel Geek & Sundry and Pemberly Digital, the company behind the Emmy Award-Winning series "The Lizzie Bennet Diaries" and current project, "Emma Approved."

Geek Culture - Liam Dryden
Liam Dryden is a British actor, YouTuber and musician. His love of sci-fi, fantasy and geek culture inspires his vlogs and other content; including music inspired by "Doctor Who" written with his band, Chameleon Circuit.

ShopoHaulic - Soraya Darabi
Soraya Darabi is the co-founder of Zady.com, a shopping platform and lifestyle destination for the next generation of consumers who care about the origins of the items they purchase.

April Grant is the Executive Producer and Host of IAWTV nominated show, Indie Intertube. She is also the newly elected Vice-Chair of the IAWTV and will be speaking at NMX 2014.

InstaCast (Best use of Instagram) - Shira Lazar
Shira Lazar is the Host and Executive Producer of the Emmy nominated daily live interactive show and 24/7 news hub, "What's Trending". She has been named one of Fast Company's Most Influential Women in Technology and was listed on Huffington Post's "Women in Tech to follow on Twitter."

Use our iPad or PC app to create a TouchCast pilot on one of five topics. TouchCast is a TV studio in your hands that lets you create videos with all the interactivity of the web. Entries will be judged on originality, production value, and creative use of vApps and other TouchCast features such as the Green Screen and Whiteboard. You can enter as many times as you like.

Geek Culture Geek out on your favorite nerdtastic topic: video games, comic books, cosplay, sci-fi, robots.
ShopoHaulic Make a shoppable video by showing us your haul of awesome products. Add links to the product pages where viewers can buy the items themselves.
How To Teach the world how to do something awesome. Add lists and links to materials.
InstaCast Use our Instagram theme and vApp to take us through your best pics.

On January 31, 2014, our judges will select FIVE Finalists who will each receive $1,000 towards the production of five more TouchCast episodes in the same style and category as their winning entries. Each subsequent Finalist series must be completed by February 20, 2014, in order to be eligible for the Grand Prize of an additional $3,000, which will be awarded to the Finalist with the most compelling series. The Grand Prize winner will end up winning a production deal worth a total of $4,000.
